Just like many other small businesses, Italia Smallgoods’ journey began with the ambition of an Italian immigrant to transform his underlying passion and enthusiasm into a viable business venture. In our instance, it was our profound passion for traditional Homestyle Italian Smallgoods that served as the foundation to our commencement. The increasing popularity of Italian Style Smallgoods in Australia at the time presented an ideal opportunity to start up a business targeting exactly that, so in 1984 Italia Smallgoods was born!

Initially, our operation was catering solely to the local Italian community. However, as time progressed our products became popular with well-established Australian Manufactures and the broader food service industry as an ingredient of their own products.

In 2024 we continue this passion with the newly emerged 3rd generation of family. Over the past 40 years of trading, we have taken the traditional methods of smallgoods manufacturing and adapted them with modern manufacturing technologies, requirements and the constantly changing consumer demands. Investment in modern processes and technologies allows us to evolve alongside our new and long-standing customers whilst not steering away from our traditional roots that the business was founded upon.

Our family has committed itself to the industry by achieving accreditation as innovative Food Technologists, with specialisations in the fields of Nutrition and Food Science. This expertise enables us to engage in meaningful dialogues with our clients to discuss and create products that meet their demands.
